The most decorated gymnast of the Games was British Ellie Downie with 3 bronzes (AA, BB, FX) and 1 silver (VT).

Brazil is only the third country to win gold at YOG all the other gold medals, both in Sinapore and Nanjing, have been won by either Russia and China.

The only gymnast to qualify to all the event finals was Romanian Laura Jurca, unfortunately she did not win any medals at the finals.
And she was a joy to watch:
During the vault final three gymnasts competed a full twisting Yurchenko and a double twisting Yurchenko. This would not have been a valid option at the senior level since gymnasts are required to do vaults from different familys.
