– For the US the bars rotation seems risky although pretty natural, with Ross, Kocian, Locklear. If top three teams hit, they will be Russia’s equal and will lose few tenths to China;
– Russia lining up the expected gymnasts per event, no surprises;
– China seems to be a bit cautious: Bai Yawen is missing from the beam rotation and instead the table setter is Huang Huidan (who is no beam specialist), also, surprisingly enough Yao will not be doing floor.
– Great Britain will be counting a whole lot on Gabby Jupp: she will be doing bars, beam and floor despite mistakes on all these events in qualifications.
– Romania’s only last minute change will be the addition of Paula Tudorache in the bars line-up, replacing Ocolisan who had a very bad day in qualifications.

Germany’s Lisa Hill on her qualification to the bars event final: “It was perfect for me, it was the routine of my life. I am so happy. I can’t believe it. Everything today was very good, every apparatus. It was nearly perfect. On Floor my last line was not that good, but the first two lines were very good. Before the competition I had a problem with my right knee and I could not train to my full capacity” [Link]
