Roxana Popa dominated winning by more than two points. Popa had three outstanding events: an explosive double twisting Yurchenko vault (14.800); unveiled a new routine on uneven bars, difficult, dynamic and pretty well executed, rewarded with a 14.900; she also had a hard floor routine with impressive tumbling – double layout, whip-whip full in, 21/2 to punch front, double pike- for a 14.400. Despite the fall on the side aerial on balance beam Roxana looks to be stronger than ever.
Second place went to Marta Pihan who was consistent throughout and had an outstanding event, with a 14.100 on beam, the highest score of the day.
Portugal’s Ana Filipa Martis finished in broze medal position. Her vest events were vault (13.800 for FTY) and uneven bars (13.750).
Oksana Chusovitina also competed all around, placing 5th, just 0.05 behind 4th place Georgina Hockenhull of Great Britain.
